FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

The Pentair Water Deaeration System (WDS) is a fully automated solution that utilizes CO₂-based stripping technology to efficiently remove dissolved oxygen from water. Water enters at the top of the stripping column and flows downward through precision-engineered stainless steel seals. As it moves through the column, it encounters a counter-flow of CO₂ gas.

By adjusting the partial pressure within the system, the CO₂ enhances its ability to extract oxygen from the water. This process ensures highly effective deaeration, with oxygen being continuously removed from the deaeration tank.

Pentair offers two configurations to suit different process needs:

  • WDS Hot – optimized for high-temperature stripping at >70°C.
  • WDS Cold – designed for efficient operation at ambient temperatures.
