The Haffmans CO2 Purity Tester – CPT is a precision instrument designed for routine quality control of the air content in both commercial CO2 gas and CO2 recovered from fermentation. It ensures that the CO2 used in beverage production is of high purity, which is critical for maintaining product taste and quality.

HOW IT WORKS

- The measuring burette is flushed with CO2 gas.
- The CO2 sample is separated in the measuring burette and connected to the caustic burette.
- CO2 is absorbed by the caustic solution.
- The remaining gas volume is read on the burette scale after inverting the instrument.
Model Variants
- Type CPT 99-100: Measures end purity (99–100% v/v) of commercial or purified CO2.
- Type CPT 50-100: Measures intake purity (50–100% v/v) of CO2 from fermentation.
