Process Control
The Pentair Haffmans Redpost Pasteurization Monitor, RPU, assesses tunnel pasteurizer performance. It measures the temperature of a product inside a container during pasteurization and calculates pasteurization units (PUs).

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

Pasteurization reduces microorganisms in beer and beverages, extending their shelf life. This gentle heat treatment is performed using tunnel pasteurizers, where containers like glass bottles and cans travel through warm water. The effectiveness of the heat treatment is measured in pasteurization units (PUs).
Pentair offers four variations of the Pasteurization Monitor (RPU):- Type RPU-351: Monitors the pasteurization process and accurately calculates pasteurization units.
- Type RPU-352: Additionally measures the tunnel pasteurizer’s spray water temperature.
- Type RPU-353: Adds container pressure measurement during pasteurization, providing complete process control.
- Type RPU-353 - 45 degree execution.
Redpost Charger/Interface
The Haffmans Redpost Charger/Interface charges the RPU Monitor and enables data transfer from the monitor to a PC or printer.
It is available in two variations:
- Type RPC-80, compatible with all Redpost PU Monitors.
- Type RPC-50, compatible with PU Monitorstype RPU-120+, RPU-351/352/353.
