Reliable, automatic dosing of CO2 gives you the possibility to control the bubbles in your product but also contributes to the taste and freshness of your brew.
Pentair offers smart systems for CO2 dosing and blending to get full and controlled dissolution of CO2 or other supplements by integrated measurement and correction.
As a micro or craft brewery you might look for a simple carbonization unit, installed in-line with easy installation, low maintenance and highest CO2 saturation.
Larger breweries would rather go for an even more controlled and also automated CO2 dissolution. Carbonization and blending of other media can be combined in one process unit to save on foot print and for more effectivity in the process.
Our most sophisticated solution for both blending and carbonization is our Carbo Blender. The blending process is based on water/beer ratio control, with correction of either original gravity or alcohol content through PLC control.
This ensures that the blending process is both effective and highly accurate. After blending, carbonation takes place by injecting CO2 at the inlet of a dissolution tube. The CO2 is then finely dispersed and dissolved by a set of static mixers.
Controlled blending offers you even more options. Combined with our Beer Membrane Filtration and Water Deaeration system, you have a full High Gravity Brewing solution at hand to further maximize output.
The Carbo Controller - CCR is our automated solution for CO2 dissolution and works by injecting CO2 at the inlet of a dissolution tube. The CO2 is then finely dispersed and dissolved by a set of static mixers, that are engineered to suit your specific process conditions.
The In-line CO2 meter, type Haffmans AuCoMet-i determines the amount of CO2 and can immediately adjust the CO2 dosing rate if needed. The CO2 analyzer communicates directly with Pentair Haffmans’ CO2 dosing block through embedded software. Besides controlling the carbonization process and measuring the CO2 content, optional oxygen measurement is available to monitor product quality.
Manually operated systems like the the Pinpoint Carbonator - PPC are designed for efficient CO2 dissolution in smaller breweries, and intimate gas-to-liquid contact by dispersing very fine, 5 – 9 micron size bubbles with microporous stainless steel injector plates.
When beer passes along the plates, it soon receives full CO2 saturation at any flow rate. The immediate saturation and improved bonding provided by the Pinpoint Carbonator prevent foaming during the transfer of beer from Ruh to storage.
