Product Information

Haffmans Steam Filters, CPM - PDF, feature a revolutionary design that provides advantages over conventional filter cartridges for food, beverage, and other process applications.

Haffmans CPM filters help ensure your processes remain free of particles and/or free of microorganisms, supporting quality, safety, and efficiency.

Features

  • Unique and modular filter design.
  • Robust stainless steel construction, including stainless steel membranes, results in no damage or ageing of the filter element.
  • Only the filter membrane needs replacement for wear and tear.
  • Ability to scale filter capacity.
  • High filter capacities are possible.
  • Filter elements can be retrofitted within conventional filter housings.
  • CPM standard filter housings are equipped with condensate release connections for both the inlet and outlet that can also be used for filter element testing.

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

The CPM steam filter, type PDF, is a validated steam filter for up to 100 percent particle-free filtration.

Equipped with an Ecofilter element, consisting of filter membranes in between segmented stainless steel disks, the PDF offers the highest filtration efficiency and security.

The PDF filter membranes are made of woven stainless steel threads that assure absolute filtration. CPM steam filter membranes can be supplied in a variety of pore sizes to meet your special requirements and allow for high flow capacities against very little pressure loss. The innovative filter design makes up to 100 percent reverse flow filtration possible.

Ecofilter

Main

Ecofilter
The Ecofilter is a flexible filter element used in a CPM filter. It features a hydrophobic PTFE membrane layered between segmented stainless steel disks, delivering at least 10−5 absolute retention.

This ensures sterile gas filtration, prevents bacterial transfer, and acts as a check valve, blocking product backflow even under pressure differentials up to 2.75 bar.

It’s fully compatible with CIP and in-line steam sterilization, making it ideal for hygienic applications in food, beverage, and fermentation processes.

We also offer stainless steel membrane elements for our PVF, PSF, and PDF filter types, featuring a standard pore size of 32μm.
